Family Support
Prinsted holds a three day Family Workshop three times a year. This is designed for those who have family members in treatment and has a large educational component. Families will learn about the illness of addiction and the process of recovery as well as being given information about the 12 Step programme. They also have the opportunity to talk about the consequences of addiction on the family and also take the first steps toward open and honest communication with their loved ones. Participating in this workshop is strongly recommended for families. The workshops are facilitated by Kirsty Collier, a very experienced addiction therapist who has worked with Brian and Caitilin for many years.
Prinsted Family Support Group: This was started by a small group of family members who had completed the workshop and wanted to provide on going contact and support to each other. They also provide a telephone contact and support network for new family members and provide workshops and socials.
A lovingly delivered programme of therapeutic care to those whose lives have been affected by the illness of addiction
